Romantics Sue Activision

The Romantics have filed a lawsuit against Activision, alleging their song What I Like About You was infringed on by Activision in Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s. In addition to unspecified damages, the band is seeking to have the game removed from stores.

Here’s the thing that makes all this really stupid. Activision secured the rights to record a cover version of the song. However, the band is upset that the cover version is so similar to the original that now they’re claiming it infringed on the group’s rights to its own likeness.

they arent the only ones that are pissed at activision, what about all of us that bought the wii copy of guitar hero 3 only to find out that they forgot to put in dolby or stereo. it seems like they have made alot of wrong decisions for this game, but then again when hasnt activision made a wrong decision

If you have always had such little faith in activision, and say stuff such as: “…but then again when hasn’t activision made a wrong decision” …then why did you buy the game? Nothing against nintendo…but the cheaper the system, the more likely developers have to leave things out. I’m sure you never thought of what they left in the game to make it enjoyable. All you want is to WHINE AND COMPLAIN that your cheap Wii can’t handle the full version of guitar hero 3. None of the other systems are perfect either. But instead of being upset of what was left out, be happy that the game play isn’t choppy…be happy that songs don’t skip and etc.

OTHERWISE DON’T BOTHER MOANING ON ABOUT STUFF THAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT!
