Following the runaway success of Guitar Hero III, Gibson Guitar is now claiming that Guitar Hero violates one of its patents, a technology for simulating a musical performance to a pre-recorded concert. Activision has asked for the patent to be declared invalid by the courts. Gibson is requesting that Activision either license the patented technology or stop selling its games.
