“She Builds Quick Machines” is a Playstation Network and Xbox Live bonus track it will be bought via Xbox Live or Playstation Network along with “Slither” (Velvet Revolver) and The Pretender (The Foo Fighters) so you can’t play Slither,She Builds Quick Machines,The Pretender,2 unannounced Foo Fighter songs,and a unnanounced Velvet Revovler song unless you are playing the PS3 or 360 version.

To unlock “Helicopter”,”Monsters”,”Cities On Flame With Rock and Roll”,”Sabotage”, and “Reptilia” you need to play them as encores in Co-op Career mode then they are playable tracks in Quick Play under every dificulty.

P.S. Co-op Career only has 6 sets of songs,6 encores,no battles,and the money you make goes towards the 1-player career you are using,and can someone tell be how to unlock Bret Michaels, I bought every character and style and outfit and I don’t see him. (I have the PS2 version)

Quick question,

I have the PS2 version of GH3. I can’t seem to find co-op mode in multiplayer. I have the co-op campaign, but I dont want to open that every time I have friends over who cant face off against me. Do I need to unlock the regular multiplayer co-op mode, enter a cheat, or am i stuck w/ face off and battle mode?

Tj, yes Through The Fire and Flames is a song on ps2’s gh3. you have to beat lou in career mode, and you play it during credits. you dont have to pass it though lol. then its unlocked for all difficulties.

You can use the same controller for both games, Gary. I bought the wireless Kramer guitar. I absolutely LOVE it. They both work well, but I think my Kramer is smoother. I feel more at ease and comfortable playing on it.

I did some research about the co-op quickplay for GH3 on the PS2. apparently the game was rushed out. co-op quickplay was not included on any of the platforms. However, it was released in a patch for the xbox360 alone. Seems that activision is in bed with microsoft. there are no plans on releasing a patch/update for any of the other systems. Not a very nice gesture to those who have been very loyal to GH, those who began with the PS2 and remain w/ the PS2. Id suggest writing to the company. Maybe theyll release an updated game, or give a disk with the patch. problem is, PS2 doesnt have a hard drive to store the update :(. I think were screwed personally. Hope that answers your question. yo as long as you beat the game by your self then you should go back and do the hyperspeed cheat and once you do that go with perfomence mode then see if you can master GH3

Ok for those questions…chris i dont think so but ive never done it before try it for yourself but BTW Yes you get thrwe the fire and flames on the PS2 verson…and yes monsters is in the game somwere you may have to buy it in shop. the big idea you want a guitar hero to have all of the AC/DC on it but then it would get boring and there might not be enough space so mabye if you made your own game like that then sure. steven guitar hero 3 had those songs for 2 reasons 1. if every song that had was the newest one from the band then it could conflict with past or future guitar heros so just cause the songs you were looking for arent there now be looking for them in the next guitar hero game.

To unlock sabatoge in the song list, just go to controllers, change to left handed mode and Sabatoge will unlock. When you go back to play Right handed mode it will still be on the song list.. Not in career mode though..

chelsea- you’re going to have to learn how to slide your hand up and down on the controller. go between the green/red/yellow/blue, to holding on red/yellow/blue/orange…that’ll make it a lot easier for you to excel on hard. good luck!

i think guitar hero 3 isnt that good because MTV made it, the real guitar hero people should have made it, number 2 is way better….the wireless guitar is made shitty…the buttons are way too loud…in some of the songs the beat doesnt even go with the song, like paraniod, it should be a hair faster with the notes…dont get me wrong, through the fire and flames is hard but i got 90% with 556k on it….

To get “Divel Went Down To Georgia” song go to Gamewinners click on Cheats. Then they will give you a list of consoles. click on the console you have. then go to the letter G. Go down til you see Guitar Hero 3. Then go down till you see the code called “All Song In Quick Play Mode.” Once you put in that code in the Option menu, you won’t just have the Devil went down to Georgia Song you will have all the songs.

I bet Lou the first time i tried.
The unlock everything DOES work, it WILL tell you that you’ve unlocked everything if you do it right. You hold down all four notes at the same time and strum.
Also, I can’t get Bret Michaels either. Maybe it’s a fake there’s not another slot for another cheat.
You get through the fire and flames by beating lou.
And to the guy who said you enter the cheats in the main menu: NO, you go to options and enter them in the cheat menu.

OK so here is my opinion, to anyone who makes it this far down the page, thanks for reading my opinion.

Cheats are good. Let people use them, no need to complain, its all for the fun of the game and unlocking guitars and stuff. And anyway most of the cheats dont even make the game any easier, they make it harder! (with the exception of the “easy expert” cheat.) So its actually more “legit” to be able to brag about beating a song on precision mode, than having beat it regular.

Also if somebody does cheat to make the game easier on themselves, thats only going to get them toasted when it comes time to face a real player. Which i would appreciate, since I have beat the game on expert, and I play in $20 dollar GH tournaments at my local bar every thursday night. Come and face me.

i think it depends on what difficulty your playing on but i know for hard all you should try saving your battle power things until you have like 3 of them. then use them right after the other when he has a bunch a notes and he’ll fail. the trick is to save your battle power things and then hit them with it one after the other. that should work. it did for me =] i still need to beat him on expert, thats prob we’re youre stuck too. but yeahhhh k bye.

Oh but for a good note anyone trying to beat lou by FAR the best technique is ( if ur playin expert ) play until the fast part w/o vocals comes. when the first attack comes by him if its ANYTHING but whammy or broken string restart the level. if it IS whammy or broken string concentrate on getting the string or whammy down. then play on and nail your 32nd note run and get ur attack. but again only continue playing if u get whammy and ONLY whammy. once his 64th note runs start or for those not musically inclined the REALLY REALLY REALLY fast green notes. use your whammy he loses in about 2 seconds becuase he cant get the whammy down fast enough. That is by far the easiest way to beat lou on expert rather then trying to waste ur time playing on through the song especially those who arent godly on expert. just do this it may take a couple times for the randomizing to kick in to give u wat you want. but its better then playing the remainder of the song only to be disappointed if u cant do it.

Ok, to sum things up: You enter cheat codes in the cheat menu which is located at the “options” menu at the beginning of the game (main menu). Yes, the unlock everything code uses 4 chords. Guitar Heroes ‘80 sucks. It sucks big time, just to let you know. Other people who say different are complete morons and have too much time on their hands. Cheats are fun, playing w/o is funner (not a word, I dont care). There are no extra songs on PS2 version, just the Co-op unlocks and “store” unlocks. Hyperspeed is fun, but sorta hard. Whoever can beat TTFAF (Through The Fire And Flames) is the biggest nerd(s) there is/are. But in my opionion, they should of had Atreyu, because let’s face it, they’re an amazing band, not the amazingest (again, not a word, still dont care) but they are amazing. There, you all happy? Because I am….

I agree with the ppl against cheats… but not all cheats… I hate the never fail and unlock all codes… Games are made to keep you playng untill you finnish it yourself, not by doing cheats.. where is the fun in cheating??
you put in a code, and what do u know… you’ve pretty much completed the game, just in the blink of an eye…

I also want someone to freaking answer these ppl wanting to know what precision mode is cause id like to know to!!!

On the other hand, GH3 is rlly good… 2 is prob bvetter in songs though, but GH3 is still better…

Umm I hav ethe cheat for EVERYTHING:

to get through the fire and flames (dragonforce) you need to beat career on any lvl then if u wanna play it again after credits press blue (bonus songs) on quick play or career then find it there its the same with the songs u buy in the shop

lmaoo iv been reading lots of these posts. personally, lou isnt thatt hard to beat - you just hafta play all the right notes and use the attack things once you get them. also try using them right before lou is about to get one.
with the cheats: i’m trying to unlock all of the songs but it isnt working. i’m also confused with the ( ). what are you supposed to do if some letters dont have ( ) around them ? i.e (YO)(RB)(RO)(GB)(RY)(YO)(RY)(RB)(GY)(GY)(YB)(YB)(YO)(YO)(YB)YR(RY)RYO.

this is for chrissahh. when the green button drops out pause the game and turn the guitar off then back on again. if that doesn’t work thenturn the whole console off then take out the part that attaches to the ps2 and turn everything off, then put the part that attaches to the ps2 back in and then wait to turn the actual guitar on untill everthing else is on. if that doesn’t work then bring the game back or throw the guitar out and get a new one.

Character cast

Bret Michaels’ in-game character will sing vocals while the player performs “Talk Dirty to Me.”Neversoft lead developer Alan Flores revealed that Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has a cast of thirteen characters.[28] Characters returning from previous titles are Johnny Napalm, Judy Nails, Axel Steel, Izzy Sparks, Casey Lynch, Lars Ümlaüt, and Xavier Stone. Midori is an original playable character that can be selected; additionally, each system has two additional playable characters that can be unlocked: the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions include the characters of Metalhead and Elroy Budvis, while the 360 and PlayStation 3 versions include The God of Rock and The Grim Ripper.

In addition, the player can unlock the three boss characters: Tom Morello,[29] Slash,[30] and Lou the Devil, once they have completed their respective boss battles in career mode. Ok, here’s the problem: My 11 year old son loves GH3, he plays it all the time, and had alot of songs saved. But for some strange reason all of his songs were erased. P.S. I have not tried all the cheats listed below this point, but everything above works.

Make Lou’s Notes Easy & Yours Expert
To battle with Lou using Easy Mode notes, try the following. When the battle with Lou begins (on Expert Mode), strum without holding any frets down. When you lose, select the Tutorial option at the Game Over menu. Do the Guitar Battle Tutorial and play through it in its entirety. After the “Lesson Complete” message appears on-screen and the next fret board appears, pause the game and exit. This will bring you back to the Lessons menu.
From here, press the red button, which will bring you back to the list of songs. The battle with Lou should be highlighted. Choose the song, and Lou’s note chart will be set to Easy Mode now. Your note chart will still be in Expert Mode, but Lou’s will be in easy mode.

Guitar Hero is the Game of all games. Still, it’s just a game.
All you people who think you are guitar heroes: go to a local music store and buy a real guitar, amplifier and a fuzz pedal. Then try to play “Through the fire and flames”. I’d like to see that on youtube.

Seriously, GH is great. GH2 is the best one so far but it is not ANYTHING like playing a real guitar. Anyone can play guitar but not everybody can be a godlike guitarist like Slash or Kirk Hammett. These guys have some serious talent.

By the way, I hate the wireless Kramer guitar that came with the GH3 for Ps2. It’s noisy and inaccurate. I have beaten all games on expert with the SG from GH1.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Hey don’t get me wrong I love the songs I am just a more heavy metal guy. I think you should put some lamb of god, in this moment or even atreyu on her wouldn’t hurt the game only make it better. You sort of made the game interesting when you put the band In Flames on the game but that really isn’t that good of a band I mean Bjorn Gelotte and Daniel Svensson plays some killer drums. Anders Friden has got one hell of a voice all the same that bass played by Peter Iwers in addition to Jesper Stromblad being as talented as he is. The point I am trying to make is that you need to put some real talent on your game I didn’t think that the game could get any better when I got part one. After playing two and three I just think that you should put some real music on there and make this game more interesting and even more EXPERT!
P.S. Game is still awesome just thought you should know about putting different songs on there.

I got a Gibson Les Paul studio, an old Charvel, custom built, an Epiphone ES-335 and a BC Rich Torchy. All really great guitars (except for the Charvel). There are many good songs in GH that I never would’ve heard otherwise and some of them I’ve learned to play for real.
I’m curious, how many of you gamers have done what the game told you and bought a real guitar? As for me, I started playing long before PS2 existed.

yes, i have its not that hard, if you have any sense of rythem, or self guidance, then you just use the notes as a reference and you play the actual song by ear. Its boring to some people cause they have beatin the game on all levels. I think if you think it is boring maybe your not into the game like you thought you were. For those who are wondering how to lock some of the songs that aren’t in carrer you have to play in co-carrer and play it though all of the songs with a friend. I play on hard and its kind of hard. if your bored with some of the songs then get a buddy and see if you can beat them in battle or just playing a song. I hope i can help some of you are bored with gh3.
I did here that they are comming out with a gh4 but i could be wrong but thats what i herd. and if you want to pick the songs write a letter and get everyone to sing it and send in to the gh inc.

———————MULTIPLE CHEATS———————————–
These cheats ONLY work for the PS2 and will not work for XBox, so don’t try.

What you need:
Guitar Hero 1
Guitar Hero 2
Guitar Hero 3
a Guitar controller console (the controller)

Go o n GH1, and if you have not done so, beat career mode on any difficulty. Medium is recomended because of the grim reaper. After that, make sure you have a saved file of GH1 on your memory card. Thats all for now.
Now, Go on GH2, and do the same thing.

Finally, go on GH3. Create a new band with the same band name as your GH1 band. Don’t do anything. Now, Create another new band, and name it the same name as your GH2 band. Thats all for now.

Go On GH1, and buy Izzy Sparks, and recomended, unlock Grim.
Do the same on GH2, except buy every outfit as well.

Now, back to GH3. On main menu, type these as fast as you can.

Orange,Blue,Blue,Blue,Blue,Blue,Red,Blue,Yellow,Yellow,Red,Blue,Blue,
Red,Yellow,Orange,Blue,Orange,Yellow,START and hit career mode.

If you followed the instructions correctly, you will have Every Guitar from GH2,1,& 3 as well as every character. If you click on any character, there will be new outfits, wich will be be the classic looks and outfits. Btw, You get Pandora and all 3 grim reeper outfits. The Sythes are different aswell.

~How to Customize guitars~
I will give you an easy guitar to use.
Buy every skin for your gibson les paul, and beat career mode on either Hard, or Expert. It will for some reason, make you catch more attention with the gibson. Now, This will make it easier to beat either Hard, or expert with 5 stars on every song. It shouldn’t be to big of a problem on Hard. After that, you must beat easy career mode with EVERY SONG HAVING PERFECT. This is extremely simple if you beat hard five stars. Now, change guitars, play an entire song, switch to the gibson, and you will unlock custom skins such as:
Dragon Scales
Blazing Hell
Double Neck guitar
Smiley Face
Sad Face
Angry Face
and Tripple Neck Guitar.

~Last cheat: Infinite star power~
Complete the tutorials. Make sure you ace 100% the star power tut.
Now, on any difficulty, complete through the fire and flames on practice mode EXTRA SLOW. Now, re do the star power tut, and play through the fire and flames on the same exact difficulty. Play it again on the same difficulty.

OK PEOPLE LISTEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!! all those songs like devil went down to georgia, she builds quick machines and cannon rock are all downloadables (which means only for the 360, sorry =/…) and the songs like sabatoge, cities on flame with rocknroll, helicopter, monsters, suck my kiss and reptilia can only be unlocked in co-op career (for those who dont have 2 guitars, 2 controllers, or a controller and a guitar, im sorry…) and bret michaels singer is only for the 360….. It is pretty sad though when my 13 year old daughter can play through fire and flames on expert, and they have to cheat just to compare.And i agree playing guitar for real is much more difficult and nothing like the game.:)

An easy way to beat lou on expert is to keep playing until you get the first battlepower which HAS TO BE WHAMMY. then when his solo comes up, use it on the fast strumming, and he is guaranteed to die.
