G4TV has heard from a source that Activision is already conducting the first tests of Guitar Hero IV, starting today with a small-scale test (4-6 people).

Based on recent comments, it appears we will be getting a Guitar Hero every year, along with annual Call of Duty and Tony Hawk installments.
